The basic idea with this simple but very useful and effective tool is that all of the leverage of your arm and hand force is concentrated at the tip of the tool. This focuses all the pressure to the wood veneer sheet or wood edge banding and allows you to gain excellent adhesion. - RIGID NON FLEX MATERIAL - The scraper is made from a very rigid plastic material that doesn’t flex or give. This tool allows you to exert a lot of pressure on the veneer sheet with not a lot of effort. The edge of the blade is very smooth so I could sand and stain the sheet before I installed it. Then all I had to do was apply some clear urethane to finish the job.
