**Q: Does this fit the Dometic 1400 series vent fan?**
A: Yes it will fit. The dometic 1400 is a standard size .

**Q: Can I leave the vent open while driving after this product is installed?**
A: yes,vent can be left open

**Q: Do you void the manufacturer warranty by drilling screw holes to install this?**
A: I wouldn’t think so ,but I don’t know for sure. You have to drill 4 small holes in the mounting flange and none into the actual vent cover.

**Q: Am i correct in saying that there is height adjustment on the maxxair cover to accommodate a fan-tastic vent fan with auto fan cover?**
A: No height adjustment as far as a know.  Just make sure you get the Maxair for the fantaxtic vent fan.  I have a large vent fan on my Carbon 349 and the Maxair cover works perfectly!   Just make sure it is for the large fan type. The standard vent cover from Maxair will not fit a the larger covers with fans.
