He'll spend hours outside just sniffing the air or laying out in the sun. I ordered him a watermelon floppy disc two years ago and it's his favorite in the snow and one of his favorites the rest of the year round. I'll throw it fifty times before he gets tired or bored. He did originally try to play tug-of-war with the disc with me or our other dog, but simply putting it away when we're done throwing it solved that problem and after a while he stopped showing interest in doing that so we were able to leave him with it. It has a few holes from repeated indentations from his teeth. And it is noticeably faded. Other than that, it's held up exceptionally well. I would post this review on the melon disc page, but I can no longer find the option to review as a verified purchaser and would rather leave a verified review here than an unverified one there. I will update this review if anything unprecedented occurs with this new calypso disc, but I'm expecting this one will hold up the same way as the only difference is the color.It is worth noting I did not purchase this new disc as a replacement. The melon disc, although old and faded, still has years of use left from what I can tell. It's just that I left it outside before the last snowstorm and obviously I was unable to find it to play with our dog which is why I purchased this new one. He loves playing with it in the snow and we hadn't had much snow so I just had to get another disc for him. I decided to get this calypso print even though it was a few dollars more than what I paid for the melon a couple years ago because I thought the design was pretty neat and worth the extra bucks. I didn't have my phone with me to take pictures of him in the snow with the new calypso disc, but as soon as I let him outside and threw the disc he was off like a bullet. The snow photos I uploaded are stills from videos I took in 2015 with the melon disc. It's her favorite thing in the world. The 10" is great for medium or large dogs. These are lightweight and easy to throw/catch. The soft fabric is easy on her teeth. These are very durable but get normal wear and tear. I buy one of these every 2 months because they get little holes and dirty from daily use. My dog loves to play with everyone else on the beach but me, as she knows I know how awesome she is, so showing off for me is no fun. Easy to throw, and cool hippy colors.
