Review: Probably going to be buried with it. - I've fallen in love with this maker. I've built a small collection with this one as one of my favorites. It is razor sharp and nicely flexible. It is strong and has a good size, well made handle. Down side: you'll probably gain weight from wanting to use this knife every night to cut up then consume some good meat. Pro tip: get a sous vide machine.

**Q: I am looking at a manual sharpener what would you  recommend?**
A: Get yourself a Worksharp knife sharpener, either the orig one for $60, or the updated Ken Onion edition ($120), both are FANTASTIC.  I’m TERRIBLE at sharpening anything, but this thing (I got the Ken Onion edition) has made it easy, quick and best of all, a “good knife sharpener” out of me!  I don’t sell them, have no affiliation...    I just like a good product when I get one, which is rare these days.  Good luck.

**Q: How well does this hold a edge? Also after a couple sharpening does it still hold a edge like if it was new?**
A: For those too young to remember great grandpa shaving with a straight razor, let me give you a quick education. RAZOR sharp knife means it will not hold an edge.  The sharper the edge, the quicker it will dull. That's why great grandpa had a razor strop that he honed his beard cutting steel with every time he used it.  A fine razor edge on a fillet knife is important, as is the knowledge that you must hone (not sharpen) the edge regularly to maintain it.

**Q: Can a lefty use this knife or is the blade made for right handers?**
A: I am also a lefty. It works well. Really solid knife for larger fish.

**Q: What would be the best sharpening tool for this knife?**
A: This is a large can of worms on this ask; I ask 10 folks, will get 10 answers.  Since I was little, was taught to use an Arkansas stone, it's my comfort zone and haven't met a blade I couldn't hone yet.  I've tried other methods, but for me, the stone is far superior.  Technique and angle are critical no matter what your chosen poison for sharpening, practice, practice, practice.

Son absolutely loves this filet knife because of how much more flesh he can get off the skin when he filets panfish. It made such a huge difference. 3 panfish was enough for 2 people, which is crazy. Normally we were getting such tiny filets, but the control this knife gave was exceptional. Worth every penny. Haven’t had it long to say how it will hold up, but he had another one from this same line that is bigger (for the past year), and it is holding up great!

Good grip. Bright color is helpful in locating knife. Very sharp & still flexible for easy filets. Vented sheath is nice to prevent rust; but the shape, size & position of the vents make it too easy for the super thin blade to poke out as you are putting it away if you aren't super careful... otherwise it was a great gift for a kid's first filet knife
