Review: Spares. ;) - I Bought this when my controller failed and I thought I had tested everything. It turns out the fault was with the way I had rewired the throttle, and wasn’t the motor. My old motor worked fine with this motor’s new controller and throttle. The throttle supplied with this kit is a push button on/off, where I wanted a key throttle, so I still had to buy a new throttle. Now I have spares. Moral, don’t be this guy. You can find e-bike testers which you plug your throttle, or controller, or hub motor into, to see if they work. Edit: It’s five months later and the old 36v hub motor failed when I used a 48v battery with a duel 36/48 volt controller. The new hub motor is now in play working with the same controller at 36v. As a 48v motor it should do fine. Torque is great at 36v. Turning that frown into a smile.

**Q: So it comes limited? Do you just disconnect the blue road legal wire to unlimit it?**
A: It comes as 1000w you can plug the wires in it’s goes 250 road legal leave them out gets the full power

**Q: What sort of plug is used. I mean the yellow plugs that connect to battery. As i need a new battery. Or could i use the plugs that come with new batte**
A: I used a heavy soldering iron to solder existing plug leads to battery leads - important to stagger the connection I.e. have one inch shorter so negative and positive joins do not occur in the same place, use at least 2 layers of heartstrink and make sure polarity is correct.

**Q: Is there a front brake**
A: There are two brake levers which will cut power to motor and pull brake cable to apply brakes. KR James

**Q: It says the top speed it about 34mph but mine only does about 31mph not much of a diffrence from a 1000w mph is the any way to make this faster**
A: Unrestricted controller 1000 to 15000 Watts is what I used. 
Fiddled with wires till I got it to work .

### ⭐ Does not work,

To get this wheel to work, I had to buy it again. I now have two wheels, one works and one does not. My second purchase was for the model with LCD display. It was plug n& Play,no issues. That leaves me with another wheel that does not turn. The controller required to make it work is attached as a photo. There is no listing for a replacement controller. This is costing me a fortune, I have ordered a replacement contoller and display (from another supplier) and paid £45 for shipping. My 1st wheel for £159.99 had to be upgraded to the same standard as the 2nd wheel at £179.99. The £20 extra cost was for an LCD display, a motor controller to suit LCD and a throttle to suit the motor controller. To upgrade my 1st wheel, I had to pay £83.99 for a new controller/LCD Display and compatible throttle. This seems excessive, but I am grateful to them for having this Kit as a buyable part. Without it, my 1st wheel would have been useless. The lesson learned is: -always buy the £179.99 version (with LED Display). I don't know why the £159.99 kit exists. Who rides a bike without knowing the speed and Odometer reading?
