As I had mentioned, the PS41US power supply seemed to work fine. The PS42US didn't seem to make a good connection, so the power went out when I wiggled the connector. I wonder if the center pin could be splayed out to make a better contact, although I'd hate to risk breaking it.The PS41 plug dimensions are 5.5mm outer diameter, 2.5mm inside diameter.
