I’ve used a safety razor (silo razor) for a long time but this last year I’ve kept a full, longer beard and need to shave very little. This has made it easy to do detail shaving of strays around beard edges and so far I’m getting great life out of the blades. UPDATE: I’m closing in on 2 years of twice weekly use (21 months) and happy to say this has been an excellent choice. I just loaded blade # 20, so I’ve still got 80 blades left! Before discarding the blade I flip it and usually get 2 or 3 more uses. Again, this is just beard and mustache stray hair clean up twice a week, but this has been the perfect tool.
