Shadows of Brimstone: Frontier Town Expansion enriches the base game with a detailed town board featuring three modular layouts, randomized building placements, and new event-driven gameplay. Supporting 1 to 6 players aged 12+, it extends playtime by up to 90 minutes, offering deeper tactical choices and immersive Old West adventures.

## Description

FFP0706 Frontier Town Shadows Of Brimstone Expansion Flying Frog Production The Expanded Town SG adds a Board for the Town experience between adventures. This board has the locations you can visit on it as well as full grid areas for the main street and cross street. This can be used for events in Town such as have a duel in the streets, robbing the bank (if you?re an Outlaw or Bandido type), or fending off full on creatures attacks on the town while you?re visiting there! The expanded town content includes 3 town layout mats. Small, normal and boom town. The mats contained empty building structures and some tokens that were drawn randomly and placed on the building slots. Some of the new buildings are Smugglers Den (no law allowed), Sheriffs Office (no outlaw allowed) and Street Market (counts as a little of everything, can sell dark stone, gamble, general store). Since the buildings are random, the camp location will now contain limited versions of any crucial buildings that were missing like docs office, church and saloon. Players: 1 to 6 Playing time: 120 minutes Ages: 12 and up

Review: Great for wild west campaigns - Love this for the wild west campaigns, if you're playing the Swamps of Death or City of Ancients core set. It does make each session take longer, since you could easily spend another hour+ just in town between adventures. There's a lot more equipment and services to spend money on. There's also some actual adventures to go on here located in town rather than returning to the mines. If you buy them together, I'd suggest playing without this for the first couple adventures to make it easier to learn the base game before tacking this one on. Also, something that confused me at first ... this expansion adds daily town events that are drawn at the start of every day, which is IN ADDITION TO to the chance for the core-rules town event that might happen at the end of each day.

Love this for the wild west campaigns, if you're playing the Swamps of Death or City of Ancients core set. It does make each session take longer, since you could easily spend another hour+ just in town between adventures. There's a lot more equipment and services to spend money on. There's also some actual adventures to go on here located in town rather than returning to the mines. If you buy them together, I'd suggest playing without this for the first couple adventures to make it easier to learn the base game before tacking this one on. Also, something that confused me at first ... this expansion adds daily town events that are drawn at the start of every day, which is IN ADDITION TO to the chance for the core-rules town event that might happen at the end of each day.

A wonderful expansion for S.O.B. Really makes the going back to town part of the game an adventure in itself with extra locations to visit, items to buy and (often hilarious) things to do. Very strong wild west-theme with shootouts, bank robberies, jail-breaks etc. The quality of the componants is, as usual for the publishers..excellent....you do not even need to assemble the miniatures other than glue them to the bases...which was.the only bad thing about the core games and other expansions. A must buy for anybody who owns the core game.
