Use one set of pliers to grip the spring near the solder joint. Then use the second set of pliers to grip the end of the spring. Never pull this spring against the solder joint only. Surefire lines the battery compartment with a metal tube to complete the electrical circuit from the battery. To function properly, the outside edge of the LED lamp base must make contact with the metal tube. In order to make the bulb work in the flashlight, pls kindly use a pliers to cut almost one circle of the outer spring and try to install the bulb. If the head could not close totally, pls cut the circle again until it could work perfectly.
