Strength: I used it on the ends of tools so that I could hang them. The weight of heavier the tools, like shovels and pick axes, stretched the leather a bit so I ended up doubling the threads. As a braided slip lead, I don't think that the "pretty" will last with any amount of pulling. So I concur with the answers from Peggy Hurd and Jennifer M. **Q: Can it be used as shoe lace ?** A: This can be used as lace for shoes such as moccasins and decorative footwear. It isn't recommended for boot lacing or heavy wear shoes. This lace is much thinner than some of the other Realeather laces. **Q: will this stand up for making bracelets? and will it last a long time?Also i want to be able to tie a sliding knot for the bracelets will i be able to** A: My opinion is no. The leather is nice and soft and I use it for necklaces. But I think a bracelet would need a little more stiffness - this lace is very "floppy." Braided it would be fine.
