I followed the instructions- soaked my feet in hot water with some Epsom salt until wrinkly, patted dry, I did not go overboard on product- I covered just areas needing love, did 5 minute timer (says 3-7 so I went in the middle just to try), washed it off with warm water, and used the rasp. However, you must be super gentle with the rasp as you can easily add too much pressure and cut your feet- I was a bit too amazed at how my heels transformed that I applied too much on the side of my big toes and caused some bleeding (totally my bad, not the product’s fault, and I knew better). SUPER easy to use, excellent value. My one and only complaint is the gel smells absolutely awful so be in a space with ventilation and no kiddos around to take in the fumes.
