Review: Seems like good quality. - Definitely heavy duty. It's a real pain to try and unroll and get it mounted. It just wants to curl back up. I got it using my knee to push it against the dock and then screw it. It's definitely not as flat as I wish it was but it will work. The far end in the pic was the center of the roll when I pulled it out of the box.

To overcome the stiffness, I was able to apply heat from a heat gun, which took less than 5 minutes to soften the material and make it pliable. If it wasn’t for this step, I would have given 5 stars for installation.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Description says this is 10 foot. Specs say it is 17.5 x 3.5 x .5 inches and weighs 12 pounds, but shipping weight says 8.6 pounds? Just what exactly**
A: This product is 10 feet in length.  It ships coiled in a box - the weight is 12 lbs.  The physical piece is 3.125" tall - and 2.00" wide (the depth it will stick off the dock).

**Q: Would an recommend using washers under the deck screws to hold it on? Or are screws enough?**
A: YES!!!!   I used a countersunk finish washers on mine and they worked great.  Helps keep it secured without the screws "punching" through the vinyl.

**Q: How many screws are needed per 10 foot piece?**
A: If it were straight you would only need 10, but since it comes so bent up and twisted, no amount of screws will give you a satisfactory result

**Q: If I order 16 of these at the same time will they still be shipped coiled u or in a long box uncoiled?**
A: Coiled. They will never straighten out!

### ⭐ Product not like the picture

Usually Taylor Made has pretty decent stuff but in this case not. I needed a long bumper for my boat slip and thought this would do the job. It came coiled up in the box which meant stretching was required before I could even attempt to install it. It's really a two person job lest the bumper coiling back up and hitting you between the eyes. Once I got it fastened to one end, I began to try and flatten it out to lay on the dock edge. No luck. The material was to stiff and would not stay flat no matter how hard I tried. It just bubbled up every inch. Must be the type of material or just a defect. Still deciding whether to send it back or just live with the crappy product out of necessity.
