If I bought them, can you guarantee he'll eat them??** A: On the advice of our vet, my 18-year old cat has been eating these daily since early May. She is no longer carefully arranging her paws to get comfortable and will even take small jumps again. She is too old to chew them up although she likes them. So we run the whole bag thru the grinder and feed her about 1/3 teaspoon of the chopped treats in her food. **Q: What’s the difference in gycoflex 2 vs 3** A: The Glyco Flex 3 has additional ingredients to help support our feline friends once Glyco Flex 2 may not be strong enough for them. Therefore the Glyco Flex 3 is stronger. **Q: What is the best way to keep these pills moist? I have sealed the package after every use, but I can tell they are getting hard.** A: My cat is 15lbs so I give her 1 1/2 treats 2x a day. What I do is cut one in half and put the other 1/2 back in the bag. I agree the treats do get hard so I cut the 1 1/2 into 6 pieces, dab them with a little water then nuke them for 10 seconds, it gives off a strong smell and make them softer and she eats them. **Q: what is the difference between the glyco 3 and plus, they seem to have samme ingredients in them?** A: The manufacturer is correct that Plus has chondroitin whilst 3 does not, but manufacturer also fails to mention that Plus has LESS of the green-lipped mussel than 3 does (by one-third, or 100mg, which is significant), so it seems that this isn't entirely a step up, and should be priced the same instead of $2 more since we are actually less of one of the ingredients. Our normal vet was out of town so we had to see the temp vet. She said that the kitty was going to need expensive surgery. Especially because his wt & age would make it very unlikely that it would heal on its own. We were given an antiinflammatory & something for his pain, to try for a wk or 2 & then come in for a recheck. So kitty was avoiding walking & had severe limp when he did walk. He couldn't jump @ all & could not do stairs. He was very obviously in severe pain & just miserable. It was awful! I hate it when my babies aren't well & I can't do anything. So we went to the follow up appt (our normal vet was back). Our vet likes to treat conservatively first. He said surgery would be tough on kitty due to his age & wt, it could be risky. He gave us GlucoFlex & said we'd give it some time & see what happened. WOW!!! After 3 months he was so much better. It is now about 2yrs later & he is doing wonderfully! He didn't just recover from the torn tendon, he has improved in every way to better than he was before he got hurt!!! He has no limp. He is jumping higher & more frequently. He is seeking out the dog for wrestling matches, etc. GlycoFlex reversed the clock - took 5 yrs off his age. Since we had such good results w/kitty, we decided to try the GlycoFlex for dogs for our 15yo Chihuahua. He has bad knees & back problems. He had been on another glycogen supplement for yrs, w/out much affect. After several months on GlycoFlex, he is racing around like he's half his age!!! He is now able to jump up on the couch again. He's pouncy & playful.
