## Overview

The IPCamPower IPCP-212 POE Combiner Splitter Adapter enables powering and connecting two IP cameras over a single Ethernet cable. Featuring a sender and receiver unit with weatherproof connectors, it supports all standard 802.3af/at POE switches and POE NVRs. This cost-effective, plug-and-play solution reduces cabling complexity and installation time, ideal for professional-grade surveillance setups.

## Description

The IPCP-212 is just another useful tool from the folks over at IPCamPower. This allows you to simply run 2 IP camera on one cable. Lets say you installed an IP camera in a room, and you spent alot of time running a network cable from your switch or POE NVR to the IP Camera, only to find out that you need to install another IP camera in the same room. Should you run another network cable from the new camera to the switch? No! Because with the IPCP-212, all you need to do is put the "receiver" end near the old camera, and run a short cable from the receiver to the new camera. Then on the switch end, just plug the sender into 2 open ports on the switch. Now power and data gets sent over one network cable all the way to the receiver. Thus significantly reducing your burden of fishing another wire through multiple walls. Did none of this make sense to you? No problem, just check out the images in the description and it will all make sense!

Review: I hadn't heard of devices like this "IPCamPower POE Splitter Kit" before. I've recently upgraded from an 8 channel NVR (using POE), to a 16 channel NVR with POE. The only down side to that upgrade is running the cabling for the extra cameras. I bought this kit hoping it would work, and the good news is it does perfectly. You plug the splitter/ combiner? (with the switches on it) into the two channels on the NVR you want to use, then run the single cable from it. Then plug the other splitter cable onto the end of that single cable. Then run the two cables to your cameras. I used B mode on the combiner end as suggested in the instructions. After the splitter at the camera end, I've got one camera on a 5m cable and the other on an 8M cable- they work fine, even the POE.

## Features

- Allows you to run 1 cable run to the switch for 2 cameras that are near each other. Set consists of a "sender" unit and a "receiver" unit. Plug Sender unit into 2 open ports on your POE switch. Run one cable to the location that has the cameras that are nearby each other. Connect 2 short cables to the Receiver unit and connect the other ends to your camera. Done!
- Reduces cabling costs. Lets say you are installing 2 cameras on each side of a corner. Instead of running 2 cables back to the switch, you can now just run 1. Easy and Cost Effective.
- Ever installed a camera in a location, only to find out that you need another one right by it? Whats worse, the switch is on the other side of the building and it took you hours to run that one cable run. No worries! Just use this splitter set to make your installation much easier as all you need to do now is run 1 cable from the old camera to the new camera.
- The Receiver Unit comes with weatherproof RJ45 connectors, allowing you to fully expose the Receiver unit to the weather elements.
- Simple plug n play installation. Works with all standard 802.3af/at POE switches. Also works on POE NVRs due to the new updated design with the onboard toggle switch. If your switch or NVR uses standard POE power, this unit will work!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why doesn't work with POE nvr?**
A: The IpCamPower splitter should work with most 4-wire PoE systems. If your PoE nvr is using pins 4,5,7 or 8 for data or power then this splitter will not work.

**Q: Is there a pin out diagram for this device available?**
A: I haven't seen a pinout or wiring diagram, but this device puts pins 1,2,3 and 6 from the first port and puts them on wires 1,2,3 and 6 in the cable, and takes pins 1,2,3 and 6 from the second port and puts them on wires 4,5,7 and 8 in the cable. I hope that helps.

**Q: Will this work with Reolink nvr 4k**
A: This will work with any NVR so long as you have 2 ports open on the NVR to the 2 CAM’s. The splitter just divides the Ethernet line, but the ports are the required feature. A standard Ethernet cable has 8 internal wires a POE CAM only uses 4 wires, which is why it can be split.

- If there’s interference between the two CAM’s then to evaluate; test the ethernet wire being used by unplugging one port on each end of the splitter to see if the interference still exists.

Hope this information is helpful

**Q: Anyone use this with two
Ring poe powered cameras?**
A: YES! This should work for the POE version of the Ring Elite camera's including the stick up. Ring's injector is rated at 15V so I would suggest getting a POE + 48V 802.3at injector or capable switch.
