I recently revived an old asus laptop from 2011, cleaned it out, put a new battery in it, upgraded the ram. And this wifi card really makes it all come together. Going from sub 20mbps speeds all the way up to 525mbps down, and 300mbps up, while adding bluetooth! For me the card instantly worked, but some other people might need to have an ethernet cable plugged in to get the drivers. I highly recommend this wifi card for any old laptop that uses mini pci-e for it's wifi slot.
