However, I used it years ago when my knees were hurting so bad that I cried just riding in a car - much less trying to walk. It gave me five extra years before I had to have the surgeries. What G/C does is relieve some of the pain so that life is bearable again. I'm using it now for my shoulders which I've been told are not only bone on bone, but eroding the bone. I can now sleep most nights - still very stiff when I get up during the night or in the morning - but movement helps along with the G/C. I guess I shouldn't leave out the MSM and turmeric. Something's working quite well and making a difference faster than it did on my knees. That took 3 months before I started feeling relief. I'm not even one month on these pills and I'm getting relief. An ortho doctor was very positive years back about my using G/C and encouraged me to stick with it. He said he's seen many people cancel their surgeries because of it. Keep in mind though, that the pills don't work immediately so hang in there. Also keep in mind that the supplement might not work for everyone. I've been told by some friends that G/C never did anything for them. But I'm not sure they stayed with it long enough.
