Now they're imprisoned behind a plastic barrier that I have to use an industrial saw on. An example of this kind of packaging would be a nice plain paperboard box that one can open out flat and recycle in the bin. **Q: how to rinse the blade after use** A: This type of can opener doesn’t actually have “blades”. I has some sort of “wedge” that simply separates the glue seal between the can and the lid of the can; hence, that is why there are no sharp edges. This is an awesome can opener, even though occasionally, on some larger cans, one might need to have the can “travel” around the opener two times in order to break the strong seal of these larger cans.
