For the non readers, they are quick easy books to read to your littles, with silly and cute stories. For the beginning readers, they are small, short sentences, few words per page, and great confidence boosters. It is basically a pig and an elephant having short conversations, 1-2 sentences per flip of the page. I very highly recommend these.As far as value, you get alot of books, and while the initial price might seem high, these are not cheaply made, flimsy books. They are still paper, so can rip and tear, but it is good quality paper, printing, and binding. I hope they make another series soon, because these are awesome.For age range, I would say 3-4 on the young end, up to 6-7 on the older end.
