I actually use my french presses for tea leaves instead of coffee. I use them pretty much daily. They fit 2 different french presses that I own. Regardless of type the fine mesh strains perfectly every time. As far as cleaning goes they are average like any other mesh strainer. The center having the metal circle does help since there is no raw edge there.
