There is no stamp that says Queens. There is no change in color. I wash them in the dishwasher all the time, and have done that for at least twenty years. Many different manufacturers have made a "blue willow" pattern over the course of over 200 years, so there are a lot of examples out there. Of the new ones, this is a beautifully designed example with an excellent finish. It is heavy enough to be durable for everyday use (microwave and dishwasher safe), but as pretty as many of the fine china versions. All the elements of traditional blue willow china are here without any fuzzy, chopped up, uneven, or cartoonish features. My order was fulfilled by China Presentations in London, which explains the expensive shipping costs. But the total price per plate was not at all unreasonable! The box arrived in record time, well-packed, and everything in perfect condition. UPDATE: Nearly 4 years of continuous use later, these plates are still in perfect condition without a single chip, crack, or crazed finish.
