It works well for the task at hand and the inserts make it easy to go from Taylor to Epiphone/Gibson to Fender to classical. I really like the wood inlay, can see why the original Thalia thought that was wonderful.The one trouble is that I don't like hanging a capo on the nut, which means that this one has to go in the pocket, on the music stand or its little plastic box when not in use which is most of the time, except when I play with one particular group of very narcissistic and range limited singers who seem to like to do everything in B. (I mean, why not in f sharp minor while we're at it?) With the down time in mind it just doesn't have the tip overhang like the el cheapo capos to grip on the head next to where I clamp the tuner. Which reduces the stars from 5 to 4, otherwise it is great.G ### ⭐⭐⭐ Disappointed *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2017* There is little doubt that the Thalia capo is nicely crafted, but in my experience it is no better or worse than my previous, much less expensive item, it does not do 'what it says on the tin', to quote an English idiom.Because there is uneven pressure across the neck of my guitar, the bass E string is still sharp and I have to de-tune it in order to play in tune, and of course re-tune when I have finished and either move the capo or remove it completely.I am disappointed with this purchase, perhaps the teflon inserts are the answer, but having paid more than twice the price for the thalia capo than for my existing item perhaps it would not be unreasonable to assume that all the necessary inserts would be included as standard, as I said I am not happy with the capo, a lot of hype which does not deliver.No doubt getting the teflon inserts sent to me in England would incur even more costs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The truth is that this capo makes all others capos seem like cheap toys *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2017* Recently I was told I was crazy for this purchase. The truth is that this capo makes all others capos seem like cheap toys. It’s solid as a rock. Allows me to solo and bend without sticking and going out of tune. Of my multiple guitars I primarily play an Ernie Ball Majesty and a Ernie Ball JPBFR in a addition to my Taylor Z5. I can seemlessly swap between them all with perfect results. It’s heavy, easy to use, no more worrying about getting positioned just right, built to last and very nice looking.
