Heat cycles help set the dangerous fibers in place, otherwise, as mentioned above, it is dusty, flaky, and honestly dangerous for eyes and lung. Without heat cycles to bake the fibers in place, it would never stop shedding. NOT a good idea. **Q: So is this true Titainium wrap, or just fiberglass with crushed lava rock in it?** A: Titanium is the color. The material is lava rock fiber. Lava rock fiber makes skin itchy like fiberglass but the color will not fade. Thank you. **Q: Is this alright to use internally around a motorcycles exhaust baffle to suppress noise or would a ceramic fiber be better for that kind of job?** A: everybody should do this on their bike .....thanks **Q: Are the metal ties long enough to go around 2.5" exhaust pipe.** A: Yes.
