Unfortunately, with living and storing our RV in the desert, plastic does not last forever, and our prior unit finally broke. I was not looking forward to removing the old unit and installing a new one. But despite how firmly the old unit adhered to the refrigerator all this years, it was reasonably easy to remove per the instructions. The unit also has a very nice measuring tool, making sizing the new unit to the refrigerator fairly trivial. A really simple, well made solution.
