This does not have a modem, so make sure you have a modem before buying this. If what you have now is s modem/router, do not connect this to that. It takes technical knowledge to make this work using another router. You need to buy a modem, activate that modem with spectrum and then connect this to the modem. **Q: Anyone experiencing constant drops on apple devices? i can’t seem to get a good wi-fi connection on 5ghz for ios devices i tried all 3 channels on 5gh** A: Check your firmware, including satellites. There was an update (V1.0.4.96_2.0.41) to resolve 2.4 device drops. The MR .chk file is different from the satellite (MS) updates. I didn't see anything for 5ghz issues. **Q: Can this be wall-mounted or ceiling mounted?** A: There is a wall mount that can be purchased separately for this device. I mounted one satellite and placed the other on a flat surface.
