The Dr. J.H. McLean Company was founded several decades ago by Stanley H. Roberts and his brother Alfred. A decade ago, Mr. Robert's daughter Robin, joined the company. Stanley and Alfred, being the brilliant business men that they were, had the foresight to keep the old medicine remedies available, hence, keeping these products available to the public since the early eighteen hundreds. In the late 1970's, Alfred Robert passed away; however his brother Stanley, continued to purchase the old medicine remedies. Excellent application for minor muscular aches and pains, stiffness and soreness of muscles due to overexertion, exposure or fatigue, mosquito bites and non-venomous insect bites, stiff neck and simple neuralia. It is also a useful and convenient home Liniment for livestock.

- About this item     Directions: External use only. Apply freely every three to four hours and more often if required.     Active Ingredients: Chlorothymol, pure gum turpentine, oil flaxseed, oil camphor sassafrassy, oil pine, oil hemlock, with petroleum as a base.     Do not apply to irritated skin or if excessive irritation develops. Avoid getting into the eyes or on mucous membranes.

    Not what i expected

This is not the same stuff. It suppose to penetrate deep enough to make you almost numb to the pain.This solution was more oily than i remember and the color was a bit lighter than i remember. Also when i shake it, it forms bubbles like soap would do.I think i was sold a bogus formula.

I'd been suffering with a knuckle on my middle finger at the hand joint that had become too stiff to fully bend. then the middle joint started stiffening up also. I applied this a couple of times and could defiantly tell the joints were becoming more flexible and less sore.

I expected this liniment to burn my skin. It didnt.I expected the smell yo linger.It didnt.I expected thos product to be an old wives tale remedy that didnt work.IT REALLY REALLY WORKS!
