Review: Part is original, and does exactly what the older part did - Our situation: We were having problems with the Autopilot Chlorinator turning itself off because of "low voltage". Tried cleaning the cell but did not have an improvement. Pool will get algae even though we tried to keep it chlorinated with tabs and shock. So I went ahead and replaced the part all together. The good: Once I installed the new part, it solved all of our problems with the pool. Chlorine is sustainable and no more algae forming after several days. Before I was burning through a large amount of tabs and shock to keep it clean. Now it is clear with little changes other than cleaning skimmers and checking water chemistry. The not-so-good: Expensive. Also, very expensive. I do not think you can get a rebate from the old part. Packing was not perfect (in fact, far from it), but at least the part arrived without any damage. Other thoughts: I know there are other "not original" parts that can do the same, but to be honest, I have seen multiple reviews saying that they have had many problems. So do yourself a favor and get the original. It is your peace of mind. For the specific part model, you can go online to make sure the part is the correct one. The older part for me was SC-60 and the new part was RC-52.
