It does an excellent job of supporting a custom leather holster produced by Tucker Gunleather of Houston. The basket-weave pattern is nearly identical as well, which is nice. The metal hardware appears to be of excellent quality as well.While the leather belts produced by Tucker are of much higher grade leather and the patterns are hand-impressed with stamps rather than machine stamped, this belt costs about half as much and is available now with fast shipping. Tucker has a 4 to 6 month back-log. The value however will be in the longevity of the materials. It's a good sign that the belt is a single piece of leather instead of laminated pieces relying on stitching. Stitched belts rely on the quality of thread used rather than simply the quality of leather.I suspect that this belt will give me long service and at a cost similar to belts intended for casual wear. So far, I'm very pleased.ETA on 12-29-2017: I've worn this belt pretty much non-stop when off-duty since purchase. The leather hasn't shown any sign of wear other than additional burnishing. The leather also hasn't warped or sagged at points where equipment is hanging. I chose a gunbelt because its nice and stiff and won't roll outwards when you sit. This belt does not disappoint. It's about 1/4 thick leather and consistent all the way up to the hardware. No folding or twisting to speak of. The buckle i believe is replaceable using a flathead screwdriver. It was a little big but that was my fault. I guessed at my waist size and I was a little off but no big deal.
