I grab one cast iron skillet from the oven that's set at 450 degrees and by the time I set the second (consecutive) skillet down, I'm feeling the heat through the glove..... by the 3rd, I need extra protection. Because I'm a cook in a restaurant, I have "blistered" fingers / hands from heat and can grab plates with a bit of ease that other's can't. Use them for home? Excellent. For professional work?
