**Q: Why does the filter turn yellow after 1 week? Anyone else have this issue?**
A: Mine doesn't do this unless I use tap water.  I have found that distilled or filtered water let's the filter last a month or 2 without discoloration of the filter. My area had a lot of boil orders in effect at any given time so I have switched to bottled for both my cats and myself.  If your filter is changing color that quickly chances are that it's the water you're using.

**Q: Will these filters fit a Wismika Water Fountain?**
A: Not sure, I bought this water fountain and I love it.

**Q: How often should you change the sponge?**
A: I change the sponge every other month and I change the filter once a month. We use tap water and have 3 cats and that’s a perfect cleaning time for us. I also do a weekly cleaning to keep it good but I don’t change the filters until those times

**Q: do the squares go up or the flat part when inputting in fountain?**
A: The square pads face up. The image with this seller's post is wrong. If you go directly to the Comsmart fountain listing, it shows the correct image and a video to put it all together, showing that the flat side should face down and the squares should be up.
