    The best double-sided tape for template routing!

If you are looking for the best double-sided tape to temporarily attach a template to a workpiece for routing, etc., look no further.  This tape is perfect due to its thinness, strong adhesion strength and it truly being residue free from the adhesive after removing the tape.Prior to using Spectape, I made the mistake of trying another brand of tape for routing acrylic sheet with an acrylic template.  Although it held the two together, it left a sticky, gooey mess behind after taking the two pieces apart.  Even googone couldn’t clean up the mess!  It just smeared it around and made it worse!  The only thing that did the job was a miracle mixture of one part vegetable oil and two parts baking soda from a recipe I thankfully found online.  That did the trick but boy what a lot of extra work that was.Anyway, you won’t have any of those types of problems with Spectape!  It really is the best I’ve found!

Great stuff for woodworking.  Grabs and temporarily holds two pieces of clean, smooth wood together quite securely for pattern routing, hole drilling location, edge guiding, holding small pieces to larger for power tool cutting, etc.  Lateral hold is very strong, vertical somewhat less.  Releases fairly easily when desired but has never turned loose on me before I was ready.  Leaves no residue. Quite thin, much thinner than carpet tape, two sided duct tape, or 3M double sided (which is also good for more permanent mounting, especially metal on metal).  Spectape is the best I have found for many woodworking and general shop uses.
