It is sturdily built, and comes with the blade sharpened and sheathed. It is indeed of lighter weight, but is more towards the size of a walking stick, than a staff. The feature on the rear side of the head ends in a semi-blunt, hammer-like surface, although impractical to be used as such. Would be nice if they redesigned it into a true point. I am pleased with the item.

**Q: Does the axe have a protective cover so all the Karens on the hiking trails don’t freak out?**
A: Yes it has a semi hard rubber cover. Mine does not fit well or snap together well. Does nothing to hide the fact it’s an axe. Karen will freak out.

**Q: Is this long enough for a 6’5” man to use?**
A: No,  I'm 5'10".  I removed about 1 inch off of end to make into a functional cane.  I have a 32" inseam,  so unless you are all body and no legs I don't think this will work for you.  The base is egg shaped so would also be difficult to make an extention unless you are a skilled craftsmen.   To bad though,  it really is a cool cane.

**Q: Does the bottom have anything that’s sticky so it won’t so slip on tile floor. Traction in other words....thank you for the time to answer the wuestio**
A: No it has a semi-rigid plastic end cap.  Mine seems to have good traction on a laminate floor but I would not trust the end cap for long term use or multi-surface traction. You can put a rubber cap on but it does not come with one.

Item arrived in a timely manner and in good condition, plus appears as advertised. It is sturdily built, and comes with the blade sharpened and sheathed. It is indeed of lighter weight, but is more towards the size of a walking stick, than a staff. The feature on the rear side of the head ends in a semi-blunt, hammer-like surface, although impractical to be used as such. Would be nice if they redesigned it into a true point. As a walking stick it's pretty nice but top heavy. The actual "stick" part is resin and will bend if alot of preasure is applied. The head is metal, the blade takes and keeps an edge. You can chop wood with it, but it's not as efficiant as a real axe. As a walking stick, it is pretty cool looking and it easily supports my weight. I used some 1/8" leather cord on the head and stick for visual affect and better grip on the head. For me this was a nice purchase.
