I communicated that my requirement was for protecting my car from the fury of the monsoon in Mumbai. His advise was to go in for this fabric, which was 95 percent impervious to water. While the car doesn't stay totally dry, it's well protected from the rain onslaught, leaves and bird droppings. The fabric is sturdy, and allows gusts of wind to pass thru, without tearing. A good buy... we have successfully gone thru a cyclone and torrential rain. I purchased a 16ftx12ft rectangle, with sturdy ss hooks. Indications: should last a couple of monsoons more.
