Can two boards fit in each slot, ie instead of four boards, maybe eight depending on size/fins?** A: It only comes in this one size. You may be able to fit 2 boards per slot if the fins are smaller. **Q: can this hold a 9.6 longboard?** A: Yes it will **Q: Do you have to screw it together?** A: No the pieces fit together with notches. No hardware needed. **Q: how wide is the area between the black pads sit and the tail of the board goes between?** A: The width is actually not that important. The boards lean to the side. Fish shapes, standard short boards, longboards, and even windsurf boards fit. This product is awesome (I bought 3) and looks great.
