It saved me $500+ not having to replace the whole unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a no brainer *by J***I on July 25, 2021* I got a brew system that can use 120V or is switchable to 240V. I have a 240V plug in my garage and since my heating element can handle it. It only make sense to get better boil times and use it. However, I didn't feel like cutting off the cord and eliminating the opportunity of brewing on a 120V circuit. Either way because there is water involved. You must always use GFCI. This inline GFCI is rated 240V. I made the cord using 240V rated parts. I never had to cut the cord. I simply made an adapter that is less expensive than buying a 240V breaker and hiring an electrician to install it for you. It just so happens. I've been wiring plenty work as an electrician. This item is worth it's weight in gold. If you seal it up and make it waterproof then that's your call. However, I may use this device for many different applications.
