The walls were a chocolate brown with a slate/black glass backsplash. Wasn't real sure she would like the black but she ordered it anyway. The embrodiery on the valance looks so good & gives it just enough color that it worked out great & looks wonderful. She is very pleased with this purchase. She is trying to decide if she wants to order this valance to go on our French Doors. The valance looks just like it does in the pictures!!!!

My wife loves this valance!! She did not want to totally cover up the kitchen window. She only wanted a valance & something that would let the sunlight in.
