I have 220 volt breaker and correspondingly the wire. Pretty sure anything that can hold up to 40 ampers will go. My advice - do not overdo the size of the wiring and don't go with something crazy, like 100 amps wire. There is no need for it and it will make the installation harder. **Q: Can this be wired to a wall mounted control?** A: There are two models. This one has the controls on the unit. There is another model designed for use with the wall control. **Q: Is his the kind of heater you throw water on the rocks to get more steam?** A: Great Question! Yes you can ladle water on to the sauna rocks to cause more steam and humidity.
