I was worried about thinning hair because of genetics (my mother hair started falling out/thinning when she was a few years younger than I am now) and stress, and I had noticed that my hair seemed to be thinning a little. I was considering several options, including Rogaine and Nioxin, but I was concerned about reviews on these two options that indicated a lot of users LOST hair instead of regaining it. Then I heard about BioSil, and it sounded like a much better option, so I decided to give it a try. If I'm still using it, it's obviously working for me! The hair on my head it noticeably thinker (at least to me, it is--I'm not sure anyone but me noticed that it was thinning in the first place), but as a bonus my eyebrows are fuller now and my lashes are longer and fuller. (Both had always been thin in the past.) Also, it's improving my nails as well, which grow faster and are less brittle than they used to be. I've experienced none of the negative side effects I've read about in other reviews, with the exception that it is also promoting more growth of body hair in other areas, but that hasn't really been much of an issue or concern. Of note: BioSil will work alone, but it works MUCH better if it's taken in combination with biotin and iron supplements. (I recommend slow-release iron tablets; your body will absorb more iron and they are easier on the stomach. Regular iron pills give some people, myself included, upset stomachs.) Also, you do need to take it consistently, 2 pills a day. If you are inconsistent in taking it, or stop taking it once you start to see results, then you won't get good results/your hair will go back to the way it was. For me, it's totally worth it, and a much better option than applying greasy foams or chemicals to my scalp. I just wish Amazon had a subscription option, like with their grocery items!
