Willow came to me after my sister suddenly passed away a few months ago and I immediately started her on one of these and one of the Zesty Paw senior multivitamin daily. I figured the blend of the two would do a great job and it has. She's 42 pounds and I feel one of each is more than sufficient for her needs. Each dog is different. Despite what I felt she would view as a treat, Willow just does not want to take these as treats. So I take about 3 ounces of high-quality wet food and blend it in there. Works like a charm and it also helps conceal her daily medication. I've had her for about four months now and she gets brushed daily and it's hard to necessarily tell how much difference something makes. One of my friends was over the other day and he could not get over how soft her coat was considering she's a working class dog as a Dutch Shepherd living in a Central New York winter. I would recommend without hesitation. However, I think it's best used with their multi formula type supplement which already has a certain degree of skin and coat supplement in it. I found one of each for her blended in a very small amount of wet food has made her coat beautiful and not a iota of dandruff as her former vet noted in her record. It is expensive compared to other things you can purchase, but I'd rather spend a few extra dollars on a supplement versus a couple hundred dollars at the vet's office because she's nipping at herself because of dry skin. That one vet visit and follow up visit would cost more than a one year supply of this which would likely prevent issues unless your dog has a serious skin issue.
