Some of the stones around the edges aren't perfectly spaced but that's the only way to get around the corners. At first I didn't think it fit but you have to snap the AirPod lid into the case lid, it will click in place. Note that when you open the case the AirPod case rides up slightly. I think this is by design because it would be tough to get them both to hinge in the same area. If you need to hit the reset button it might be a pain. The small metal loop for the clip on the side does not come off, I wish it didn't have that. The big clip does come off.
