The main 2 compartments can each easily fit an item 4 inches wide and 5 inches tall. One of the main compartments has a zipper closure. The other is open. There is a shallow pocket between the 2 for change or other small items. The outer flap closes with velcro. It could probably be stuffed 2 inches deep. The material looks very study and not unattractive. It has a strong ajustable strap for cross body or necknwear. Put a nice brooch on it, and it would make an acceptable evening bag. I may do that on my trip to England:) **Q: Does it hold US $ without folding?** A: as I remember, I folded my money. Great for wearing under your clothes or overtop if needed (with the slash resistant strap, invisibility isn’t its only benefit.
