I also figured they'd wear out fairly quickly since we don't have sidewalks, there's a lot of gravel and, here in Western WA, a lot of rain, mud and cedar leaves. Side note; if my Lab was still alive she'd be going crazy, trying to rip the tennis balls off the walker; even. while. in. use. so if you have a ball crazy dog, this is another reason to get the skis instead.The skis are easy to install, heavy duty, don't track the great outdoors inside, and glide over floors. The front is sloped like snow skis are which helps to keep the walker from "stubbing" over slight differences in floor transitions.
