I need it for a long distance trek I am going to do and the two things that swayed my decision were having the waist support along with the shoulder strap for added security and the fact that the top opens away from the body. My Pentax K3 ii with a 16 - 85 lens and hood attached with fit if placed side to side and upright if I remove the lens hood. It may not be conventional but I am planning to place my 55 -300 lens and flash in the bottom of the bag and then lace one of the cushioning dividers on top to separate and protect them I can lay the camera with the 16 – 85 on top ready for action and it all fits perfectly.
