Had a faded and basically sunburnt olive green jacket from lucky brand. I love the fit but it was looking so shoddy. I decided to try and use this dylon dye. I have never dyed anything before so was a little on the fence, but I wasn't wearing the jacket because it just looked ugly. I weighed the jacket. It was about 600 grams so I bought two packages of the hand fabric dye. I followed the instructions but when it came to the salt amount I was a little put off. On the package it said 1/4 lb.(4 tbsp). There is no way four tablespoons equal 4 ounces. Since I had to double it for two packets I decided to go with the weight. (I know in Europe, they weigh their dry measurements, so I figured a better choice). Everything turned out beautiful The olive green is so rich, the jacket looks better than when I originally purchased it. I did agitate it in the mixture for most of the hour. Also, after I rinsed it and through it in the wash I added a half cup of vinegar to the rinse. Many years ago someone told me vinegar will set a dye in the wash. It has always held true. I would recommend this to everyone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ True olive green, stick to 1lb dry weight per 50 grams dye *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 15, 2017* My first time using something other than Rit. I liked it a lot. The color is very true to what you want for olive green. I dyed some white baby onesies at double the recommended dry weight. They came out lighter as I had expected but they were still a true olive. I let them soak for an hour, stirring occasionally. When I took them out some were a little splotchy, but it seemed to be the fabric blend and weave. I put them back in they dye bath with nitrile gloves on and wrung each onesie in the dye bath. Like wringing the air out, so it could saturate in the areas that needed more color. It worked great.Depending on your project, I would definitely only use 1 pound dry weight per 50 grams of dye, maybe even stronger ratio. As this is the best priced olive green dye I can find, I will be ordering again. I really want to do my white duvet cover and sheets with this. The shirts came out a dull grey. Now, granted, I didn't follow the directions, which prescribe to dye only in a bucket. But who wants to stir for 45 minutes?
