## Description

LMP Optical Black Cable Temples Set.. You probably are looking to purchase these because your local optician can’t get theadjustment right or your tired of your glasses falling off your face while working or living an active life. These temples are the answer to your headaches! Tools needed: Wire Cutters (used to cut excess temple end during conversion process) Super Glue Hair Dryer (If needed) Steps to replacing your current temples to making them into a cable temple: Make sure that your eyeglasses have a metal temple! ***If the temple is all plastic this will not be a suitable fit. Remove the plastic temple end. You may need to heat it up and slide it back to remove it. Be careful to not break the frame with too much force. Once this is removed make sure that the temple end wire fits nicely into the cable temple. This is now where you will need to make an adjustment to gauge where the cable will go. Try the frame on with out the temple ends and mark where the crotch of the ear is in relation to the frame. Now measure back approximately 20 mm and using safety glasses snip off the remaining temple. (***BE SURE TO USE SAFETY GLASSES AS THE METAL WILL SHOOT OFF) Place the cables on the frame and now make the final adjustments to make it perfect for the wearer. Once you determine the fit is good slide the cable temples back and happy a tiny portion of glue and slide forward to assure a good and permanent bond! Once this is all done allow to dry for an hour and your good to go!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What size temple will these fit? Can you provide a dimension?**
A: Using the photo on Amazon as a reference, the temple conversion is 1.5 inches wide, 2 inches tall, and the hole for the temple is round and 1/16 inch in diameter and tapers down for the entire 1/2 inch depth, so the temple fits tighter the further you push it in. My temples are slightly smaller than the holes and fit very loose when first inserted, but are tight and solid once inserted all the way.

**Q: So, are these solid material? My husband got some from the eye doctor, but they were "rubbery" and did not keep his glasses in place.**
A: I own a set of these and I can tell you that following the instructions is critical. Yes, they are rubbery; specifically to allow a touch of tension without pressing the nosepieces into your nose. If cut to the right length, they will keep your glasses in place without too much tension.

**Q: Just for metal frames?**
A: Yes the attachment point is just a small tube that you put the end of the temple after you remove their ear pieces

**Q: How are these attached to the side arms of the glasses?**
A: These only work on glasses that have thin, metal temples. The current temples (side arms) are cut off at the appropriate length. The cut temple end is then inserted into the cable temple. This can present a problem if the temples are too thick or too thin.

    A little hard to install

But after I figured out you actually have to cut off part of the arm on your glasses it was a breeze. I was hesitant because the glasses were only a few days old and I was afraid of ruining them. Finally I just got frustrated trying to slip them over the ear piece so I cut it off and they slipped right in place. I never even glued them and their fine and never come off.

Great! I've waited decades for something like this.

*by T***O on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2018*

I lost 3 pairs of Rx glasses within a couple of months of buying, a major financial loss. The reason? They wouldn't stay on - one pair fell into a drain as I peered downward while the other two I put down on a flat surface temporarily when they repeatedly slid down my nose and then drove away forgetting I'd left them behind. Ive avoided Rx glasses for decades (despite the fact that when my minor optical distortion is corrected, my field of view is hugely better) because the top of one ear is half an inch lower than the other and the ear itself is further from forehead than the other ear. Despite lots of assurances from opticians that their glasses would fit, none have ever fit and all have typically never sat horizontally (but at an angle) and have fallen off easily.I was delighted to find these on Amazon as an option and I've just fitted them to my most commonly-needed pair of glasses with bifocal lenses. While I followed the instructions, I was a little nervous to cut off the original side temples and to use super glue and I wondered whether to use epoxy. So far, two hours after using the superglue, these glasses are sitting firmly on my nose without moving and the cable temples show no signs of slippage. If they continue to work as they are now, I'll be one happy camper!I'm ordering a 2nd pair now.

    They Work

My husband's glasses fall off when he bends over. A hobby gardener bends over often. Great solution to a frustrating problem.
