Per your question, Sticker Shield does work with standard stickers that has adhesive on the back, however, due to the many outside elements like rain, snow, carwashes, etc, we do not guarantee Sticker Shield for outside use. However, if you are allowed to mount that same sticker on the inside of the window, you can cut a piece of Sticker Shield about a ½ inch larger than your sticker on all sides and "sandwich" your sticker up on the inside of the car window by using the Sticker Shield film as a surrounding frame. With this application method you won't even have to take the original backing paper off of your permit sticker.
