I thought this was more like a color deposit shampoo for in between full color. It is actually an over-priced, temporary dye job. The directions say to apply to dry hair and wait 30 minutes to rinse. If I am going to do that, I may as well just do a full color. This is also difficult to apply because it is so thick. It claims 1-2 applications. I have chin length hair and no way could I get 2 applications out of this. It ended up being way messier than just coloring and also more spotty due to the thickness not penetrating through all the layers. To do a proper job, it would have taken longer than a full dye job. Gem Lites is a far superior product.
