**Q: how long is the total length of the plastic catch?**
A: One and three quarters inches end to end of the plastic catch.  One and one half inches screw hole to screw hole on the catch.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Hello, what are the dimensions from front to back?  I am looking to replace catches that are 1/2" from the metal face to the back of the catch.**
A: Okay, here it is:  5/8" from front (metal part) to the back (the plastic enclosure).  There is a good 1/8" play (back and forth) in the mounting screws.  So, the part can be moved forward and backward about 1/8" before tightening the screws. The actual plastic part is a tad (about 1/16') more than 1/2".  The metal parts in front comes out about 1/16".  Please let me know if you need any other info about these parts.  They are great.  They grab very hard.  Good luck.Scott

A: We also used these for our plantation shutters. These are 2 inches long X 3/4 inch in depth and worked perfect for our shutters.

**Q: Is it possible to buy white magnetic catches only for 50631. Don't need plates or screws.**
A: I only saw this product offered as a complete set.  I was repairing several plantation shutters and faced the same problem.  The plus was the screw holes were exactly the same location.
