It was definitely not easy to apply this to a matte screen, and especially challenging due to the large size of the screen, but I was able to apply it carefully with only a few very small bubbles around the edge of the screen. The key technique when adding this to a matte screen is to start on one side (and I would definitely apply it from on side to the other rather than from top to bottom or vice vesra). Go slowly and slowly apply it from one end towards the other, pressing gently as you go, and if any bubbles appear (which is inevitable when applying on a matte screen, and tend to be large), lift it up until you reach the bubble and then start applying it again. After applying, use the included firm card (like a credit card) to gently push out some small bubbles near the periphery, but you will not be able to push out bubbles that aren't near the edge, at least not on a matte screen.The screen protector itself was almost exactly the perfect size, which looks good if you apply it precisely but could end up with an edge that won't press flat if you get the angle even a tiny bit off in the beginning. The end result looks great though, protects the screen, and converted my matte screen to glossy, which I prefer (I grew to like it with my Macbook Air). The only negative I would say is that there is not an included alcohol wipe, only a dry and wet wipe that are useless as the wet wipe will leave water on the screen (doesn't evaporate like alcohol) that will leave dust and streaks if you dry it with the dry wipe. However, there are a couple of TINY air bubbles in and a couple areas where dust got trapped. Well we did a little searching and this one popped up with the best ratings. My husband knew that installing a 15.6 inch screen protector wasn't going to be easy there's a lot of things that can go wrong. But I'm pleased to say that the installation process was pretty smooth for the most part. Only trouble he had was dirt and lint that just would not end. He used everything provided in the kit including the lint remover stickers and the sticker guides to line up the protector so it could just fall back on the screen like a hinge for a perfect fit. Besides a couple of air bubbles where lint got trapped you couldn't ask for a better protector I can't notice the bubbles at all when the screen is on. Only minor con is that there's no way to ever avoid fingerprints especially with touchscreens but they are light are not that noticeable when the screen is on so that's a plus. The screen protector is clear and doesn't effect the HD quality or appearance of images or videos on the screen so I'm happy with that. Touchscreen feels smooth and fluid just like before it was applied which is awesome.
