I'm a big neck guy!** A: It's not too wide. I used on a normal size neck. It didn't work too well, a lot of water was on the floor bye the time I finished. **Q: I am in a wheelchair but the back folds down. My kitchen sink is higher than my neck. Could this work if my husband washes my hair?** A: No! If your spec No! If your sink is higher than your chair it will be at the wrong angle. It fits against your neck and angles downward into the sink. You could catch the water in a container, but that is messy. I just use a cape like in a salon. Used this today for the first time..my caregiver was able to back the wheelchair to the sink and by me holding onto this at shoulder level, it worked fine..no water on the floor between wheelchair and sink-and did the job so my hair is very thoroughly clean! Have given this 4 stars though because the strap around the neck part is short and could strangle someone.. That feature had zero effectiveness..
