Wear-in was smooth, noisy at first and tapered off as it settled in. 500 miles into the service life of the ac and no problems. Good part, as one would expect of an ACDELCO. Beware - if you are in a low-elevation area, when loosening the bolt that holds the plastic seal in place, may release sudden blast of compressed air.
